Privacy Policy
Seyyar Disco is a DJ mixer that runs in your browser. Almost everything it does — decoding, analysing and mixing audio — happens on your own device. This page lists exactly what leaves it.
1. What we collect
Account data. If you create an account, sign-in is handled by Clerk. We receive your e-mail address and a user id. We do not receive your password.
Usage metering. To enforce the free tier we record, per account and per UTC day: seconds of play time, number of catalog streams and searches, and analysis jobs. Guest sessions are tied to a short-lived token and your IP address (one guest pass per IP per day); the IP is not stored beyond that day.
Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id, plan and subscription status. Card numbers never reach our servers.
Set history and MIDI mappings. Stored in your browser (IndexedDB / localStorage). If you are signed in, set history is additionally backed up to your account so it follows you between devices.
2. What stays on your device
Your local music files, folder handles, waveform/BPM/key analysis, stems and recordings are processed and cached in your browser only. We never upload your files. Clearing site data removes them.
3. Third-party services the app talks to
- Clerk — authentication (sets its own session cookies).
- Stripe — checkout and the customer portal.
- Internet Archive (archive.org) — the Creative Commons catalog; search queries and stream requests go to their servers.
- LRCLIB (lrclib.net) — synced lyrics lookup. The title, artist and duration of the track you load are sent to look up lyrics. No account data is included.
We run no advertising, no analytics trackers and no third-party telemetry. Clerk's SDK telemetry is disabled.
4. Cookies and storage
Clerk sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. The app uses localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB for settings, caches and the play-time countdown. None of these are used for tracking, so no consent banner is shown.
5. Legal basis and retention
Account, metering and billing data are processed to perform the contract with you (KVKK Art. 5/2-c; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and to meet tax and bookkeeping duties. Metering counters are kept for the current day plus 90 days; account and billing records for as long as your account exists and thereafter as required by law.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time by e-mailing support@seyyardisco.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, metering counters and backed-up set history; Stripe invoices are retained as required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Türkiye, the KVKK Board).
7. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16.
8. Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes affecting signed-in users are announced in the app.
